More Than Just Paint
Craftsmanship, Preparation, and Finishes That Elevate the Space
Distu Painting & Decorating was created around the belief that beautiful results come from more than the final coat. From preparation through finishing, every detail matters—and that mindset shapes the way each home and surface is approached.
Where It Started
A Craft Learned Young and Refined Over Years of Hands-On Work
Dimitri first entered the painting trade at 15, working summers as a shop hand alongside his grandfather before moving onto job sites and learning the work firsthand.Over the years, that experience expanded beyond painting into surface preparation, drywall repair, textures, cabinet refinishing, decorative plaster, and specialty finishes. After spending some time away from the trade, Dimitri eventually returned with a clearer idea of what he wanted to build.
Distu Painting & Decorating is the result of that journey—a company shaped by practical experience, a deeper understanding of surfaces, and a belief that the work underneath the finish matters just as much as the finish itself.

Our Approach
The Finish Is Only as Good as the Work Beneath It
A refined result depends on what happens before the finish is applied. Distu focuses on repair, preparation, protection, and material choice so the final surface looks intentional rather than simply completed.
